ice fishing

I told the kids we were going to go watch people do ice fishing. they asked what ice fishing is. I said ice fishing is you fish on the ice. when it is cold, the lake freezes and it becomes ice. people will sit on the ice and dig the hole and fish from the hole. they puzzled. how do you dig the hole? do you just punch the hole? so, we went and watched and it was fun. see the pictures attached.

I told Lee afterward and said it would be fun if the kids have boots and snow pants. They can stay there longer and played on the ice. Kyle said, " Yeah, we can just slide on the ice on our tummy like penguins!"
