Well, three thefts in one night in our neighborhood... we thought we moved to a safe places, no theft, no rubbery... but, I guess, we are back to reality.

I have been smugged in April. Our house got broken into twice in the year of 2007, I am just afraid it will happen again.

The funny thing is whenever this occur, the victim would be blamed. You will be told that it happened because you weren't careful, you didn't pay attention to your surrounding, you didn't lock your doors, you didn't close your blinds of your windows, blah, blah, blah. In another word, you deserve it, nothing we can do to help you.

That helpless feeling is worse that you lost your things or you got injured. People will tell you - you should have, you could have, you would have.... basically, they are saying if you are doing what you are supposed to do, you would have avoided this whole situation.

Then, what the police officer for, why do we pay tax to help the government to keep the place safe? It will be our fault anyway, why bother having the public safety department?
