Immigration

When you decided to go to another country to start a new life, you try hard to do two things. One is holding on your own identity, one is learning how to emerge yourself to a new culture. The big words for the process is acculturation and enculturation.

People who are in the process of acculturation and enculturation are usually very careful to act. They observe, they evaluate, they weigh, they compromise, they decide, and then finally, they act. All for the maintenance of the harmony of oneself and others. Why the harmony is important? Because we have seen the cruelty of wars, fights, conflicts. If self-scarifying can save us from catastrophe, and if that mean that we have to think and think and think before we act, it will be worth it, for the sake of peace, for you and for me.
